🏺 From Texas to Marrakesh: Stunning Farmhouse Interiors Unveiled!🖤
By Houda, CEO and Lead Designer at Beyti Studio
When I was approached by a lovely couple from Austin, Texas, to design their dream farmhouse, their vision was clear: a serene, modern space infused with Moroccan charm. Inspired by their love for Marrakesh, we worked together to create a monochrome oasis that seamlessly blends rustic farmhouse vibes with Moroccan elegance. Let me take you on a tour of this stunning project, and I’ll share tips on how you can bring a similar look to your home!
Entrance: A Grand Welcome
The entrance of the farmhouse sets the tone, featuring tall, arched double doors in matte black wood, framed by white stone walls with subtle Moroccan tile detailing. Large olive trees in decorative black pots stand on each side, while black lanterns hanging from iron sconces light the way.
Tip: To create a similar entrance, opt for matte black doors with Moroccan tile accents and incorporate greenery, like olive trees, for a natural touch. Don’t forget the statement lanterns for an elegant finish!
Courtyard: A Tranquil Escape
This black-and-white courtyard is the heart of the home, with a central water fountain surrounded by rustic white walls. Patterned cushions adorn the benches, and large black lanterns cast a warm glow in the evenings.
Tip: Bring this peaceful ambiance to your space by adding a central water feature and using patterned cushions for a Moroccan touch. For outdoor lighting, choose large lanterns to enhance the mood.
Poolside Area: Luxurious Relaxation
The poolside area is designed for relaxation with its sleek black rectangular pool surrounded by white stone tiles with Moroccan patterns. Minimalist lounge chairs and throw pillows complete the look, while olive trees offer shade and privacy.
Tip: Recreate this look by using a black-and-white palette and minimalist furniture. Moroccan-inspired tiles and lanterns are perfect for adding a bit of luxury.
Patio: Cozy and Stylish
A black pergola shades a rustic wooden dining table, while Moroccan lanterns hang overhead. The floor is adorned with black-and-white tiles, and Berber-inspired pillows add a cozy feel.
Tip: To achieve this look, use textured pillows and a pergola to create a cozy outdoor dining space. Pair it with Moroccan lanterns for a touch of elegance.
Living Room: Monochrome Comfort
This modern farmhouse living room features a large white sofa, black throw pillows, and a Berber rug. The rustic wooden coffee table ties everything together, while Moroccan-inspired prints add depth to the walls.
Tip: Keep it simple with neutral tones and mix rustic pieces with patterned textiles like a Berber rug to add visual interest.
Master Bedroom: Serene and Elegant
A carved wooden headboard, white linen bedding, and a black metal bed frame give this room its sophisticated charm. Moroccan lanterns by the bedside add a warm glow.
Tip: To get this serene look, use natural materials like wood and linen, paired with intricate lanterns for ambient lighting.
Dining Room: Rustic and Refined
This modern farmhouse dining room pairs a rustic wooden table with black chairs and a black-framed mirror on the wall for a clean, monochrome look.
Tip: A simple color palette combined with natural wood and bold black accents creates an effortlessly chic space.
Guest Bedroom: Minimalist Charm
In the guest bedroom, a wrought-iron bed frame and white linens keep things simple, while a Moroccan leather pouf and Berber rug add a touch of warmth.
Tip: Keep the furniture minimal and bring in textures with Moroccan-inspired rugs and decorative poufs to enhance the cozy, inviting feel.
Kitchen: Modern with a Moroccan Twist
This farmhouse kitchen features black lower cabinets, white upper cabinetry, and a marble countertop. The Moroccan-inspired backsplash adds a pop of texture and pattern.
Tip: Use Moroccan tiles for your backsplash and keep the rest of the kitchen minimal with black-and-white cabinetry for a sleek, modern feel.
Bathroom: Simple and Stunning
The monochrome farmhouse bathroom features black-and-white Moroccan tile flooring, a freestanding tub, and brass fixtures. A round black-framed mirror adds a stylish touch.
Tip: Elevate your bathroom with Moroccan tiles and brass fixtures for a luxurious feel.
